Internal Support Engineer This will be a challenging and diverse role within our organisation. The role will consist of providing contracted customers with technical support via telephone or remote access to sites. Many customers have contracted weekly/monthly and quarterly support requirements. These will range from remote access to performing server health checks (disk/memory usage, Windows updates, service packs, and the checking of services and event logs. Also, general housekeeping jobs such as adding and removing users, clearing temp files, etc). All this information is to be recorded and copies sent to each customer for their information and to allow IT Solutions to build an analysis of trends and to predict future upgrade requirements. The job will require the individual to have excellent troubleshooting skills for problems on a full range of, predominantly, Microsoft based server applications and environments. Customers will require advice on making changes to their systems or to be talked through resolving simple or complicated issues with their internal networks. |

Internal Support Engineer Where IT Solutions has the capacity to use remote access to customer sites this would be the preferred method of fault resolution. There will also be, on occasions, a requirement for the Technical Support Engineer to attend site to troubleshoot/resolve and or rebuild customer servers after a failure or fault. The job will consist of prepping equipment for installation whether it be installing a ghost image/building the hardware or installing a base software build ready for shipment to the customer and installation be the Product Support Team. The role may also consist of providing first-line support to m-Power, IT Solutions mobile offering. This will be predominantly low end user assistance, helping with such problems as bonding/connectivity issues and checking of m_power server error logs. Where more high-level problems exist with a customer these will be logged and passed over to the m-Power team. |
